Rubo Layout
Rubo Layout is made by Rubotic. It arranges photos you choose into layouts for social posts and exports the finished images. Everything happens on your device: the app never connects to the internet, and nothing you do in it is sent to us or to anyone else. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
The short version
- The app sees only the photos you pick, through Apple's photo picker. It cannot browse your photo library.
- Your photos and layouts are never uploaded. The app makes no network connections.
- We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers. We cannot see anything you do in the app.
- The app asks for one permission: to add your finished images to your photo library, when you first save. It cannot read your library with it.
- Exported images don't carry over the location or other details stored in your original photos.
Data the app handles
Photos you pick. When you add photos, Apple's photo picker gives Rubo Layout copies of only the photos you selected. The app uses them to show your layout and to render the finished images. They are kept in memory while you work and are not saved by the app; once the app is closed, they are gone.
Photo details. A photo can carry details such as where and when it was taken. Rubo Layout uses only the image itself and which way up it goes. It does not read, keep, or pass on anything else.
Finished images. When you export, the app draws new images and writes them to a temporary folder in its own storage on your device, so you can save or share them. Each export replaces the last one, and iOS clears that folder from time to time. The images contain the picture plus basic size and color information, and none of the location, camera, or other details from your original photos.
Saving and sharing. Save to Photos adds the finished images to your photo library. Share hands them to the app or person you pick in the share sheet. From then on they are covered by your Photos and iCloud settings, or by the app you shared them with.
Permissions
Add to Photos. The first time you tap Save to Photos, iOS asks whether Rubo Layout may add photos to your library. This lets the app add new images only. It cannot see, change, or delete the photos already there. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
Choosing photos needs no permission, because Apple's photo picker runs outside the app and hands over only what you select. Rubo Layout asks for nothing else: no camera, microphone, location, contacts, or notifications.
Data the app does NOT collect
Rubo Layout contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting to us, and no third-party code of any kind. We do not collect your photos, usage data, device identifiers, contact information, or anything else. There is no Rubotic account, no sign-in, and no way for data to reach Rubotic from the app.
One thing sits outside the app: if you have turned on Share With App Developers in your device's Analytics settings, Apple may share anonymous crash and usage statistics with us. Apple collects that under its own privacy policy, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.
Network connections the app makes
None. Rubo Layout has no online features, and every layout is drawn and exported on your device. If a photo you pick is stored in iCloud Photos, iOS may download it to your device so the app can use it. Apple handles that download under its own privacy policy, and Rubotic is not involved.
Deletion
The app keeps nothing once it is closed, apart from the temporary export files described above, and deleting the app removes those too. Images you saved to Photos or shared stay where you put them; delete them there. Because we hold no copies, there is nothing to request from us.
Children
Rubo Layout does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes what data is handled — for example, adding cloud sync or analytics — we will update this policy and its effective date before the change ships.
